49th Annual Symposium
February 20 - 25, 2022

We look forward to being back in New Orleans for the 49th annual International Waterborne, High-Solids and Powder Coatings Symposium. As we move forward to planning for our next in person event in 2022, we are implementing all necessary safety precautions and guidelines as set forth from the CDC and other leading health organizations.

If you are interested in exhibiting or being a part of the technical program, but are unsure about public gatherings in the future, or do not currently have the budget for events, please reach out to us (we are able to work with all budgets). We understand that this is a unique and trying time and we want to compile the best possible technical content and vendor resources for our annual conference.

Mission

To administer the preeminent educational/technical forum in the United States directed to the science and technology of surface coatings and to provide revenue to support and advance students at the School of Polymers and Engineering at The University of Southern Mississippi.  

Who typically attends Waterborne?

Waterborne attendees typically include: coatings formulators, research and development scientists/chemists, technical managers or technical sales managers in the coatings or related fields, management or marketing executives, owners of small paint companies, coatings end users, coatings applicators/technicians, academicians and students in chemistry/polymers/coatings.

The vast majority (75-85%) of Waterborne attendees are employed in private industry, the balance are academic/government.

While 2021 has been a remarkable year and changed many of the things that we do on a daily basis, the need for sponsors for our 2022 Waterborne Symposium remains. We are actively working on sponsorship ideas that are valuable to our sponsors. We will be posting more information here as it becomes available, but welcome an open discussion as to how a sponsorship can work to meet your company’s needs.
