IFAI selects Advanced Textiles Association as new name

Published On: May 17, 2022

The Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) will become the Advanced Textiles Association (ATA) effective June 1.

The name change was approved in April with 85.6 percent of association members casting their votes to do so. Association bylaws require the approval of two-thirds of those returning ballots. The results were audited by Clifton Larson Allen.

“This is an exciting time for our great association,” said ATA Chairman Amy Bircher. “President and CEO Steve Schiffman and his staff have worked hard to meet the needs of our members in finding a name that reflects the vision for our future while still honoring the past and recognizing the importance of our history.”

The new name, Advanced Textiles Association, reflects the evolving textile industry and is designed to position the association to meet the needs of its members and the industry as a whole. ATA’s Board of Directors, staff and industry partners researched the ATA brand for more than a year, with the goal of ensuring the association is well-positioned for the future.

Event Overview:

Since its founding in 2013, NamesCon’s flagship event in Las Vegas has grown to be the largest and most anticipated domain industry event of the year. With the explosive growth of new TLDs and rapid expansion of internet connectivity worldwide, the domain industry promises to remain one of the most energized and important markets in technology.

NamesCon was acquired by WorldHostingDays in 2016 so that both organizations could benefit from the synergies between the domain, hosting and cloud industries. Our teams now jointly produce more than ten industry events internationally each year, from blockbuster global shows to highly focused regional events and invite-only CXO retreats.

Why NamesCon?

NamesCon's mandate is to connect the dots – amongst people, between companies, and across industries. We don't succeed unless you do. Our commitment to deliver quality, impactful events for our partners and guests has given NamesCon a reputation for being the best place to bring people in the domain business together.

Attendees and exhibitors have the opportunity to partake in a wide range of activities – from small expert-led conversations to moderated panel discussions; fireside chats with industry leaders to keynote talks with renowned speakers.

In the evenings we host a variety of opportunities to network and let loose with games, dinners, and entertainment provided by DJs and live performers. Notable highlights include our Opening Reception; an exciting live Domain Auction; and the WaterNight Gala – a red-carpet affair to benefit the WaterSchool charity.

Our attendees come from many different countries, and while they all share an interest in domaining, they work in a wide variety of industries. We at NamesCon believe in fostering diversity in the workplace, with a particular focus on the domain name industry. We continually strive to reflect this ethos in our conference programming and outreach activities.

With a varied cross-section of attendees and an exhibition floor that functions as the “town hall” hub of our entire conference, your presence at NamesCon is sure to generate strong leads for your business. We’ll even provide a free lead retrieval tool for our exhibitors to help you achieve your ROI goals.
